Heliventures uses a specialised side hook pulling system to work with a number of power companies assisting with the installation of new and replacement conductor. This method is highly efficient speeding up projects for linesmen and ensures minimal down time for the networks. Our precision long lining is another service which comes in very useful for lifting in power poles in hard to reach locations increasing job efficiency.
We also conduct line inspections across the South Island identifying any potential hazards such as bird nests or damage which may impact the power supply in the future. We have wire strike kits fitted to the helicopters to minimise the risk when flying in close proximity to wires.
